Photorealism - painting

Photorealism encompasses painting, drawing and other graphic media, in which an artist studies a scene or photograph and then attempts to reproduce the image as realistically as possible. Photo-realism, also called Super-realism, is an American art movement that began in the 1960s, inspired by photography, Photo-realist painters created highly illusionistic images that referred not to nature but the reproduced image.
